First I saw the noise, then I saw your cameras settings. I said to myself he has a good camera, why use these settings at 9 AM? Then I read Kkart's comment and it became clear. In adition to what she had to say about the composition I say you should try to redo it, blow up the car if necessary :D, and try to capture the path a little more diagonal (I don't know if I made my self clear enough) it will give it a more dinamic feeling.

Thanks! Big lessoned learned here - check your camera settings before you go out (especially if you shoot manual). I've been burned a lot of times because of this.

Thank you for your comments!

I agree with what kkart said and with what dancingelf said.

This has the makings of a great shot and I hope the next foggy morning you get you take advantage of it. Ideally IMO would be a foggy morning where the sun just dawning.

But here's what I would do, move forward so that those first two trees right by the road, have it so their trunks frame the picture. Does two things for me, gives the feeling of depth more, and the camera will be in a shady part, so the shot will be starting from dark and going to light.

Thank you for your comments. Quite honestly, I did rush this shot and I should have took more time with it.

Agree with what kkart said, plus, a little rotating because the trees are tilting a bit! :)

Ok away we go.....

2 things strike me right away, the noise and the composition. It is VERY noisy and for a shot like this, you don't want that at all. Try using something along the lines of NeatImage to kill the noise or get a tripod (if you don't have one ya sure as hell should!) and setting your iso down to 100. Second your composition. If you look to the right edge of the shot, you will see a tree (part of it) that suddenly starts to come in outta no where. KO that, get it outta the frame completely, it is a gigantic tangent that our eyes go straight to.

Suggestions---You have a really strong image that just needs that lil extra push to go from a good shot to a great shot! Drop the curves down a tad which will darken it overall and saturate your color, also I think you should try a B&W of this, it will be very dramatic
